Outside the Church

Celtic Roof Cross The cross with the superimposed circle representing eternity is Celtic in design. It reminds us of our Anglican roots in Celtic Christianity as well as the heritage of our patron saint, St. David of Wales. The cross was hand gilded by parishioner Dan Williamson in 1996.

Red Front Doors The red doors symbolize the blood of Christ, which is our entry into salvation. They also remind us of the blood of the martyrs, the seeds of the church.

Labyrinth The circular pathway of inlaid stone in the center of the circle of oaks is a tool for walking meditation, a metaphor for the sacred journey. Created by parishioners in the fall of 1997 and completed in the summer of 1998, it is open to the community for walking. Instructions for use are available in the church and by the labyrinth.
